A cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to go through it alone. At the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House, we provide no-cost programs and services to help survivors, caregivers, and families move forward with hope, strength, and support.
Patient Navigation
Your Guide Through the Cancer Journey
Our trained Patient Navigators help reduce the emotional, financial, and logistical barriers that often come with a cancer diagnosis. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or continuing treatment, we’re here to connect you to the right resources and walk with you every step of the way.

Nutritional Support
Fueling Strength During Treatment
Good nutrition is vital for healing. We assist patients in meeting their dietary needs during treatment, offering:
- Nutritional Protein Drinks
- Access to food assistance in partnership with the Community Service Clearing House
- Enrollment in our Food Voucher Program

Financial Assistance
Relief When You Need It Most
While direct financial aid depends on available funding, our patient navigators will always work to connect you with support. We assist with:
- In-house aid when available
- Referrals to outside organizations
- Guidance with applications and eligibility
Transportation Assistance
Getting You to Treatment, No Matter the Distance
Access to treatment should never be limited by transportation.
We provide:
Local Fort Smith Transit Bus Passes at no cost
Help for rural and out-of-area travel while funding and resources are available

Healing Together
Our support groups and creative classes are safe spaces to share, listen, and grow together.
We offer:
- Groups for men, women, adolescents, and caregivers
- Emotional support led by licensed mental health professionals

Salon & Self-Care Services
Dignity and Confidence During Treatment
Our on-site salon provides comfort and care for those experiencing treatment-related hair loss or skin changes.
- Wigs, hats, scarves, and turbans
- Private fittings in a welcoming environment
- Mary Kay Miracle Sets for skin care (provided at registration)
No appointment needed — walk in during office hours.


Fitness & Wellness Classes
Move, Stretch, and Regain Strength
We offer fitness programs specifically designed for individuals in treatment or recovery.
- Low-impact fitness
- Yoga and movement classes
- Open to patients, caregivers, and — when space allows — community members
Sun S.M.A.R.T. Skin Cancer Education
Raising Awareness, Saving Lives
Our Sun S.M.A.R.T. program teaches sun safety to over 5,000 children and community members each year.
Be Sun S.M.A.R.T.:
- Slip on a hat
- Move to the shade
- Apply sunscreen (30+ SPF)
- Reapply regularly
- Tell your friends
In partnership with Arkansas Cancer Coalition and Johnson Dermatology, we’re spreading awareness across the region.
